The E-Cig Barn and Barn Brew owner and managers all got the opportunity to watch the documentary, A Billion Lives. If you have not heard of it, A Billion Lives is a documentary film directed and narrated by Aaron Biebert. The film examines the corruption between governments, large pharmaceutical companies, and public health officials. The beginning of the movie discusses the evolution of the tobacco industry, and the creation of the first electronic cigarette. There are a variety of interviews from the former “Winston Man” David Goerlitz, the former Secretary General of the World Medical Association, and other pro-vaping advocates. Not surprisingly there were no talking points from the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or FDA, as they declined to be interviewed, and therefore couldn’t support any of the claims that vaping and nicotine in general is bad or worse for you than cigarettes
This movie is worth watching and needs to be publicized more. There are still vapers that do not know what the movie is or what it is about. A Billion Lives also gives the public the opportunity to hear from doctors, scientists and health leaders about how beneficial vaping is.
